Poached egg

Instructions for 1 egg. Multiply, as needed.

Fill a low sided saucepan with water about 2 to 3 inches deep, add a large splash of vinegar, and bring to a rapid boil. Carefully, without breaking the yolk, crack the egg into an individual cup or bowl, and gently pour into the boiling water. Immediately remove the pan from heat and set aside for 4 minutes. The egg should be cooked to perfection. Use a slotted spoon to take the egg out and dry on a paper towel.
