Gut-Brain Connection

Do you wonder why you have mood swings that are out of your control? Can someone reverse Alzheimer's Disease by healing their gut?

You’ve probably used the phrases “I have butterflies in my stomach,” or “I have a gut feeling about this”. Have you ever wondered why so many of these sayings involve our brains and tummies?

As it turns out, it’s not such a coincidence. In fact, the more we learn about the human gut, or our gut microbiome, the more it’s clear that it really is our “second brain.”

Join syncH Live Clinic with Dr. Antonella Aguilera-Ruiz, ND for a deeper understanding of the connection between the brain and the digestive system. She will also talk about the natural remedies that can enhance our gut-brain connection.

What do we know?

We're learning that the underlying cause of many imbalances like mood disorders, cognitive decline or autoimmunity may reside in the gut. With signals traveling from the gut to the brain and from the brain to the gut, this is a crucial pathway that can be leveraged for healing.

Why should you attend?

In this Live Clinic, you'll learn all about the gut/brain connection, including:

  • how our gut bacteria and digestive symptoms affect our mood
  • how the gut may be a new line of treatment for many chronic diseases
  • easy ways to eat to balance our gut bacteria and minimize inflammation

We'll be discussing the latest research and how to rebalance your gut bacteria by incorporating simple lifestyle and dietary changes.

Who is the speaker?

Dr. Antonella Aguilera-Ruiz, ND is a naturopathic and functional medicine doctor and works with people who are curious and hungry for a more holistic approach to their health. She is interested in working with people who want to learn how to create greater well-being in their lives by healing the root cause of symptoms. In her practice, Wild Lemon Health, she strives to offer a different type of medicine: one that's personalized, sees her patients as a whole person and uses advanced testing, food, lifestyle, natural remedies and mind-body practices to get you feeling like yourself again.

Dr. Antonella specializes in digestive disorders, mental & health issues, and chronic fatigue. She completed her Bachelor's degree at Santa Clara University and earned her naturopathic doctorate (ND) from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, OR. She is licensed by the California Naturopathic Medicine Committee and is a member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA).

When & Where?

August 1st, Wednesday between 11am-11: 30 am

Be sure to go to the SyncH Facebook page to join the Live Clinic via FB Live

Or confirm your attendance and submit a question via Eventbrite

This will be a great webinar for people that have mood disorders, family members with cognitive decline and folks that are suffering from autoimmune disorders. Dr. Antonella will be answering your questions live about this fascinating topic.Looking forward to seeing you at the Live Clinic!
