    Our approach uses CBT-i informed practices while also looking at all aspects of your health that affect sleep including: nutrition, physical activity, your daily routine, digestion, metabolism and hormonal health.

How Naturopathic Medicine Can Help

A whole person approach can help you:

  • The ultimate goal is getting you to sleep easier. We use practices informed by cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-i) which is considered the gold standard first line treatment as well as supplements, herbs, hormone therapy and light therapy, as appropriate. Each plan is built unique to you!

  • Sleep is foundational and affects the heart, metabolism and hormones. We'll explore and create a baseline in all areas of your health, so you understand your risk and what areas may need the most proactive attention.

  • Relaxing can be thought of as a skill. We work with mindfulness techniques, progressive muscle relaxation and other strategies to help you prepare for more easeful sleep.

  • It's hard to heal with poor sleep and that wear and tear affects the whole body. So, we want to fix your sleep as a first step to building healthy habits from the ground up.

With assessments, a tailored treatment plan and continual support through health coaching, you will never be left to figure out how to feel better by yourself.

How it works

You’ll notice we do things differently by delivering care in a membership model. This allows for in-depth investigation and personalized protocols. Quick visits with incomplete solutions are frustrating and deflating, so we built something completely different.

Questions

  • We do not function as primary care and because we're a virtual clinic and sometimes you might need an physical evaluation, we expect you to maintain a relationship with a doctor who can see you in-office.

  • No, BUT we often refer for a sleep assessment if we suspect this might be part of your challenge, so that you can get properly tested and explore treatment options like a CPAP.

  • Supplements or herbs for sleep are used secondary to building a good sleep routine.

  • Each person is unique, so we can't guarantee a specific timeline. Addressing sleep does take a participatory approach, so success also depends on your willingness to implement changes and practice the techniques we teach you.

  • Wild Lemon Health is a direct care practice and does not bill insurance. However, FSA/HSA funds can be used for labs and/or supplements.
